Gambler is a rough-hewn old-west font that would probably live on the handmade sign hanging from the stoop of a barber shop or a livery stable.  It is narrow and very bold in most quadrants of the font, save for some transition areas, such as some curves or corners, to add some variation.  It contains a complete upper- and lower-case character set, numerals, shift-numerals, and some punctuation.

Gambler  is a True Typeｪ and an Adobeｪ Postscriptｪ Type One font that was created with Adobe SuperPaint 3.5.1, Macromedia Freehand 5.5, and Macromedia Fontographer  4.1.3.  All aspects of the actual outlining, rendering, spacing and kerning were performed in Fontographer.  The font was tested using Microsoft Word 5.1a and Adobe Pagemaker 6.0.1.

This font is copyright WUNN-WAY software 1996. This font may be distributed to any online service, any Internet site, or given to anybody provided that it is in no way altered and provided that all files that accompany the fonts are included.  No persons, organization or company may sell the fonts for any price beyond that which covers a downloading or similar fee.  These fonts may not be included with any cd rom collection or with any commercial software without the expressed written consent of WUNN-WAY Software. To obtain permission, send an email request to: wunnway@aol.com.  A copy of the medium or product that these fonts are to be bundled with must be provided as a courtesy to WUNN-WAY software at no cost.

This font is a part of a shareware font package distributed by WUNN-WAY Software called Everymanﾕs Font Collection.  More information about the collection, which contains 50 unique typefaces, many of which are not available anywhere else, can be obtained by emailing a request to wunnway@aol.com or by visiting our web page at ﾒwww.teleport.com/~awunn/ww/Fontsﾓ.   Some of the fonts from this collection, like Gambler are available individually.  We ask each user, that continues to use the font after 30 days,  to contribute a shareware fee of $3. for one font (or font family), $5. for two (or font families, etc.), $8. for three or $10 for  five.  We think this is a reasonable fee for a work of art.   This fee will be used to help kids in the schools.    At my former high school, the student-run newspaper, The Milwaukian, has had a shrinking budget problem every year.  This group of journalists go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that there will always be a student newspaper available at MHS by selling ads and fund raising.  They go to extraordinary lengths to publish each month because they have a passion and a desire to survive.   Beyond that, The Milwaukian  is a member of the National Journalism Education Societyﾕs hall of fame.  That is a honor and an important distinction, because it means that this student publication is one of the best in the nation.  Above all of this, the journalism program at the high school teaches these future wordsmiths the importance of integrity and the need for competent reporters.   So we am asking you to show your appreciation for this product by paying the fee.   Please send your check or money order to: Milwaukie High School･11300 S.E. 23rd･Milwaukie, OR 97222.  Please note that Milwaukie is spelled  ﾒie,ﾓ not ﾒee.ﾓ  Please mark in the memo box that this is a donation for The Milwaukian.  Every dollar collected will make a big difference.
